Oil question Whatwouldcause the oil pressure to drop when the car is warm? The gauge is right because I hooks machianal gauge to it and then read the same and the rockers are not dry they are getting oil could the pump be bad?
Oil pumps rarely go bad and when they do it's usually the drive gear stripping and not the pump itself. What pressures are you actually seeing that worries you?
Also the physical properties of oil cause its viscosity to lower with temperature, i.e. a drop in pressure when it's hot and thin is normal.
