Installing a tubular k member and I think I want to replace the mounts while I am there. Have been debating between poly and rubber. Would like less vibrations and from what I have read rubber will be more forgiving when installing bolts. I can only find complete motor mounts for abount 70 each, Is it possible to get just the rubber insert like we can get for the poly mounts? I really don't want to spend 150 on mounts when I can spend 60 for poly and just deal with vibrations.

 

I work at Napa parts and have seen the mounts for 80 there and they look like the inserts. I think poly. Would be the way to go on price alone

 

I have poly mounts and the only times I notice them is at idle, which is barely noticeable, and when my y pipe doesn't bang the floor.

 

Ya its 160 for rubber or 52 for poly. Was going for the more forgiving mounts but by using poly I will only have to do them once.

 

On a proporly balanced engine, poly mounts arent even an issue.

 

Thats good. As I am installing a tubular K member I have read that it is easier to install with rubber mounts as they are slightly more forgiving and will shift easier to get everything lined up. Poly is the better choice either way really. Should I get a poly trans mount too?
