key on no power

key on no power i have a 93 z28 a4. i went to start the car and it hesitated to start. a click from the starter then it would crank slowly and start. after four restarts i turn the key in the on position and lost all power. ten minutes later open the door and interior lights come on, turn key in on position and get one courtesy ding and then dies no power. my window is down (ughh) and have no power at all. my battery is good and the starter was acting up before i lost power completely. could a bad starter short something resulting in no power to the vehicle at all?
