Default AC delete and alternator relocation w/ factory bracket

Doing my LT header install and getting rid of all the air, egr, ect and while I'm in there I want to delete the AC as well and maybe relocate the alternator, but only if I can use the factory bracket. I have the Speed inc full relocation on my other car, and would like to do it on this one but not buying a bracket kit.

So for the AC delete, you pull the compressor and all the lines, and you also pull the (condenser?) that sits in front of the radiator right? Now I also am wondering about the black box, if I delete that will I lose heat/defrost? I want to maximize the weight shavings and clean up as much as I can, my AC hasn't worked since I got the car, and I don't use it anyway. You just bolt in the delete pulley and you're good right? Any tuning or anything else to do?

Now the alt relocation is something that would be nice, but don't need to do. Isn't there a way to cut the factory mounting bracket in a way to relocate the alternator and keep power steering ect?

Is this the correct AC delete pulley, and is this the cheapest I'll find?

Ohh **** I found Dorman part number 34155 on Rockauto for 27$! So this is what I need, NOT the other one, correct?

This is the one I found, ebay just for example

Searching is so misleading...

So I'm not buying the GM one because the others are so cheap and I've used them before. But it seems the part numbers are all different now, and it's showing one only fits 93-95, the other fits my 97 but doesn't look correct.

Can someone please take 5 seconds and clear this up for me? Which pulley do I use for my 97? 70 views and nobody can just tell me

The 2 part numbers I have are DORMAN 34155, and DORMAN 34209

on my 96 i ordered the dorman ac delete pulley, bolted up just needed special bolts because the regular bolts are threaded the whole way through and will break the bracket, or drill the holes out slightly will also fix that problem. Also was able to use the stock belt. don't remember part number though but i would think if it works on a lt1 f body it should be the same for all years

Thanks for the link!

See that's the problem, the 2 parts numbers. 34155 looks similar but not identical to the 1LE pulley, but says it only fits 93-95. 34209 has a misleading picture so you can't really see the full shape of the pulley, but says it fits 97 and is direct fit.

Hmm...

So I guess I'm going to try the 34209 pulley since nobody knows which one it is. The crazy news is I found it at Autozone for $10.99 lmfao.. looks like a nice piece, we'll see when I go to put it on. Looks like the right one. Lifetime warranty

34209 is the correct one. I also purchased that one a few months back. It will fit with the stock belt and all.

AWESOME thank you so much for that simple answer, that's all I needed So did your's bolt directly up, you didn't have to shim it or port out the threads in the mounting holes like everyone is claiming?
