window parts where do i find a replacement roller bracket that ataches to the bottom of the driver door window. it's a 94 firebird. the stud/roller broke off and gm says its discontinued.

I was able to weld mine back in but it had to be done in the door so I could line the stud up properly to the channel the roller goes in. I used the help package of roller wheels from auto zone or advance but they don't fit the stud so I heated the stud and pressed the roller half way on and was able to get it to go on the stud and not break. If I had to do it over again I would by a good window bracket and then tack that damn stud on both sides before I put the glass in and installed it in the car. The problem is the stud roller is what hits the window stop so over years of being pressed down into that damn stop the stud works loose. So if you replace the whole thing I would highly recommend welding that SOB or it will do it again eventually.
