well took it down the road the car wouldnt shift into overdrive it was 50 mph at 5 thousand rpms.....

then i got into the slow lane and a cloud of black smoke came out the rear.

then pulled off the side of the road it ran for a few seconds then stalled and never started again


it still wont its getting fuel but no start whats the problem

 

5 grand at 50 sounds like first gear not OD. black smoke indicates fuel rich. Hard to tell...plugs fouled or no spark.

 

it was third cuz i shifted into third then it wouldnt shift into od but why would both things happen

 

fixed it was the ignition coil it had no spark at all but had fuel

 

Are we supposed to guess what u have?

While we're all happy you've fixed your ride quickly and easily and you're cruising again, when you need help, it would help us to help you if you gave us more details about the car and mods or recent work you might've done to it.

This could be caused by like a hundred different things on these cars.
