Theft Deterrent Relay Help
Finally figured out what was keeping my Camaro from firing up. I ran a jumper wire from the purple wire to the yellow wire on the theft deterrent relay. I am now wondering what a permanent fix for this would be. Thank you

There could be a # of things - The BRN wire at the VATS relay should have B+ with the Clutch pedal pushed in or (for the Auto crowd) with the Trans Range Switch in "Park" or "Neutral" - if that's OK, then with Key ON, the small YEL / BLK wire (again at that relay) should go to ground; i.e. - less than 5 Ohms or resistance from that connector to B-.
If those two things are OK, then I'd say replace your VATS relay...
I'd also suggest you check the terminal connection for the YEL / BLK wire and the relay, as if those two do not have good contact, then the relay will not trip.
(Ask me how I know!)
