^ I know right, Lets add turbos to that v10, the camaro would probably still win though, the viper would be in a sideways smoke show. easy 1000+HP.
These vids are good to watch, but Im starting to realize whos really winning when I see a viper loose to a camaro.
id love to have a viper GTS ACR

We have a local GTS, twin turbos on the stock motor, still a T56, Pro EFI, car has gone mid 9s in the 150s. Jose had a PTK kit on a 93 Formula, 355, M6, DFI I believe?, single 88, any case that car also trapped some where in the mid 150s. I can think of another LT1, 355, single 88, made some were in the mid 9XXrwhp, was in a silver C4 CE. SleeperZ also had a home built twin turbo LT1, 383, car ran 8s and made around 1100RWHP. The point is, a turbo LT1 with a good bottom end tearing up a bolt on 400rwhp Viper shouldn't be to surprising to any one. LT1s set up right can be animals on boost, Big Rick's car had a good top end, but the bottom end was typical of any stroker LT1 street car.

Thease post are getting old guys what dose it matter what car has what mods or the he should run a similar moded car. I'm really tired of hearing that the viper lined up and got beat by what he thought was a typical slow lt1. lets be honest the lt1 has become the new crossfire in the car world old out data and most consider slow. I can't tell you how many people have only agreed to race after finding out oh it's just an lt1.

The LT1 is the Rodney Dangerfield of performance engines, it gets "no respect" lol. I think it takes a underdog mentality to make one run with the "big dogs", I'm sure the look on the viper driver's face was priceless.....that said, I'd still take a stock Viper with it's Hoover like god-awful exhaust note over any turboed LT1 car
At least they hold their value like a Corvette....guarantee the Viper pulls way more chicks too

"The LT1 is the Rodney Dangerfield of performance engines" I dont think anyone could possibly top that statement lol...that is lt1 perfection(wait...is that an oxymoron? Lt1 perfection?). Turbocharged and 900hp, or bolt ons...the lt1 never gets any respect, and that will never change.

I think lack of respect has to do with reliability. Anyone who thinks an LT1 can't be made blindingly fast easily doesn't know much.
