Default Car suddenly dies...

I was driving my car today (1994 z28) and it suddenly shut down. No power at all. This has never happened before. Once I got to the side of the road I let it sit for a little while, the car cranks and wants to start but couldn't. After about 10 minutes it would start, I'd drive for a few minutes and it would die again.
Did this all the way home. Need a little help...thx

My best bet is the ICM as I've seen them cause this sort of failure before. You could try spacing the icm/coil off the head with a couple of washers so prevent it from getting too hot as this is generally the cause of their failure

The proper fix would be to take it apart & use Dielectric grease on all the mating surfaces Same with any new ICM

Sorry for the late response guys..I replace the ICM and its still shutting off after about 10 minutes. Its cranking and wants to start but doesn't. After I wait for awhile it will start up then die shortly after...Im baffled

I also put in a couple washers along with dielectric grease when I installed it.

FWIW, my MSD coil took a **** the same time my ICM went out So, you may want to try a $20 autozone special replacement coil too.

Yeah when I had everything out I should have replaced it as well. I'll replace the coil and see how it goes, thanks
