havent done a tune up on the firebird since ive had it, wondering if i had any better options for the same price or less than this kit. ive heard mixed things about msd optis, but figured their cap and rotor would be fine. advice?

Their cap and rotor are fine and would add a vent system for you which is good.
I would not bother with the coil though and would probably not do iridium plugs either unless VERY stock and planning to stay that way for a long time and a lot of miles.
