LT1 cars value's
The miles are high on that last one, but its way closer to what it should be worth lol. tt2's arnt exactly cheap either.
I sold a full bolt on 94 z28 6 speed salvage title with 120k something miles on it...needed a intake manifold gasket...sold it for 1000$ in 15 minutes posted on a local board. I honestly wish I never got rid of that car....that was 7 years ago. It would be a BEAST by now...especially now that I know an intake manifold gasket is the biggest joke of a replacement job and can be done in half a day. Thats the difference between a daily driver and a toy...you can always turn wrenches on a toy and it doesnt matter where you leave it at the end of the day.

I found a ls1 car in columbus. 159k or 170k I want to say. Had the powersteering cooler leaking into the coolant...so right off the bat it needed 300-350$ in work. Body was screwed. The interior...oh my god....it was NASTY. leather seats that seriously were mostly foam...add another 599$ for seat covers from hawksthirdgen. Center console was done.

Yeah these two were pretty rough as well.
If your looking in Indy take a look in Louisville to....there are a ton of those cars around here for sale right now at all price ranges. I seen a clean 94 z28 roller with title a while back for $1200

My 93 is in great condition and I'm not selling cheap no matter how much anyone complains.
The only ones I see for $4000 or less are crapped out, rusted, dented or mechanically screwed cars. Enjoy the prices you see now, because they won't ever be this cheap again.

Nice, clean LT1/LS1 f-bodies in my area with less than 100k still command $5000-$8000. And by clean I mean accident-free, well-maintained cars that don't show signs of being beat on.
I still see CLEAN sub-50k mile examples for over 10 grand sometimes.
Like anything else, you get what you pay for. The dollar isn't what it used to be either so $3000 isn't going to get you something nice in most cases. Around here $2000-$4000 typically gets you an f-body that has been through the ringer, has 150k+ miles, and has at least cosmetic issues or an interior that looks like a grizzly bear hibernated in it.

Someone around here is selling an 02 35th Anniversary Z28 for $6500. My first thought is, "How many miles and what's wrong with it?" Crazy. I bought my 95 Formula for $2000. Opti died after about 2 weeks, replaced tires and tie rods about 2 months ago, the paint is crapped out, one dime size hole in the passenger seat.

When I was having a moment of temporary insanity 4-5 months ago, I listed my 30th on CL for $9,500. My goal was to get $8,500 out of it, which I felt was probably a little too much...but getting rid of it for less wasn't worth it to me. After a few weeks, just as I came to my senses and was pulling the ad down, I got an email from a guy for $8,500. I told him I'd reconsidered selling it...he responded and offered me full price if I would still sell it.
This was for a clean 73k mile 30th Z28 with a few bolt ons, that from 6 feet away looks like a brand new car, inside and out...even the notorious white seats are almost perfect. If you have a decent car, you can get decent money for it.

Its like seeing IROC's or GTA's. I love those cars to death but just because it says GTA on it doesnt mean its gold. Some people want 15000$ for a iroc with 40k miles on it. A 305 iroc at that!
I may just have to suck it up and get mine to a shop and get an estimate on fixing the rocker panel/frame/quarter panel correctly. With my mods and 125k miles...I guess I can ask every bit of 7000$ for it!

2) I was offered $17,500 for my 350 IROC this past summer. I turned it down. I paid $12,500 for it 3 years ago, and I felt I robbed it when I paid that. I felt this way because of watching sold auctions on eBay of similar cars.
To me, the car is priceless, so it doesn't matter what someone offers me...I ain't selling it.

F-bodys have never been cars that aged very gracefully. They were affordable when new, so most of them get used up and worn out and beat on.

I bought my fully auto and fully equipped 1997 camaro z28. Catback, perfect paint and perfect everything. Had 68,200 miles back when I was 16. Paid 8,900$ at the time, now it has 75,250 miles on it and I'm 23. Had the hood redone because of a scratch that I didn't like along with the driver side quarter panel, even though it was mint shape. Bought it out of ohio, dayton to be exact. It was sight unseen and the price included delivery and I didn't need to buy the car he would of drove back with it. What I've added - nitto nto5r, headers LT, CAI, UD pulleys, STB, SFC's.

$2,000-$4,000 is a low price for any running, driving car unless we're talking the rusted out, 200,000 mile craigslist specials that need work.

Same as mine I have a 96 Z28 with 50K on it in the same condition I started driving it more this year and put 5K on it just this year alone tired of just letting it sit in the garage and keeping it new for who?
I've been considering selling my '96 Z-28, simply because the garage seems to be "shrinking" lately. I've owned it since new, and maintained it very well. Only problem is that the paint isn't the greatest...a few stone chips, the bumpers have the usual "spiderwebs" that the soft bumpers get. I can't however, bring myself to list it on something like Craigslist, simply because I don't want all the "annoyance" calls that seem to come from there.
Secondly, I really don't know what to ask for it. I don't have to sell it, and I'm certainly not going to give it away. I've looked at Flea-bay and cars.com, and the prices are all over the place....

ive got everyone here beat. I live in Hawaii and alot of military guys bring their cars here. back in the mainland their car is worth 5000 at best but here they ask 10k+ for the same car. here is a perfect example. ill admit its a clean car but he has no receipts to prove the new parts. and even if they were new parts why the hell wouldnt he just paid for a brand new SS?!

I also had a change in situation, where I formerly had a large 2 car garage at my parents' house that I was able to use to work on, and store my cars. I no longer have that luxury, and having 2 cars plus my truck, has created a crowded situation for me at my house.
