Well you gave us no year, no possible mods, nothing??????

How long does it have to sit before it recuperates and will run for 1 minute again?

A plugged fresh air feed to the opti could let vacuum build in there, as the air is sucked out the thin air is easier to jump a spark to the wrong places. EVAP purge issues that cause vacuum in the fuel tank usually take a lot more run time to reveal.

ICM cutting out as it warms up?

383 stroker lt4 hot cam has msd coil. and its a 94 usually has to sit for about 20 mins before I can get it to turn over again the coil is brand new it was running fine last week when it stumbled and stalled on the highway. I wonder if my plug wires are arching

BTW when my car stalled on the highway it sucked my battery dry. I had the battery as well as the altenator tested and both checked out to be fine. If my ICM was bad would it cause my car to behave this way?

So since you didn't say vented conversion we can forget my idea of vacuum in the opti.

Plug wires wouldn't act up like that. First thing I would do is put a known good stock coil on it. The MSD isn't really an upgrade and then there is always Might Suddenly Die factor.

Please write a full signature with the car mods. If you actually put a HOT cam in a 383 the whole car was probably done badly and we will be trying to help you a LOT and knowing what the car is helps us help you.

An ICM can act up like this, did you put thermal paste on the module and coil when you put the not an upgrade coil on? No thermal paste will heat damage the ICM and then they can work cold and die hot. Lots of current running through it so it can get hot.

I'm sorry its 383 stroker Keith black pistons scat rods and 1.6 rockers has 58 mm throttle body with matched lt4 intake. I didn't build the motor it came with the car the motor is a frankenstein motor though I wanna build a whole new one but being only 21 I don't have the knowledge yet that's why I'm always on here reading. I'm sorry if I upset you

I don't think he was upset, just frustrated at trying to help with little pertinent info on the car.

Make up a sig that says what you have and it's mods. This way peeps can help out.

I agree, look into the ICM.

21? I have tools older than you-lots of them...

Welcome to the world of hot roddin!

Pcm I changed the Pcm and still no luck. She will crank and you can hear the engine turning but she still won't start. It also sounds like something is slipping. Like the starter or something I'm puzzled.

Nowhere in this thread did anyone mention changing the PCM. Hopefully you meant you changed the ICM.

Did you change out the MSD coil for a stock one like mentioned?

You've now presented us with a no crank situation. You started this thread with your engine starting and then dying after running.

Two separate problems.

You'll first need to get the engine to crank.

Then you can proceed to figure out what else is wrong.

You'll need to go back to basics, automotive troubleshooting 101.

While cranking, do you have spark at the spark plugs?

While cranking, do you have fuel?
