Default First time to the track after 24x

2 years ago I ran my personal best with the opti.

1.58 60'
7.23 1/8 @ 94.8
1400DA
26" QTP bias py

The car had always had a miss in the upper RPMs 5800-6200. I through several parts at it over the next year including a new wiring harness, several optis, ign control modules...plug wires, crank sensors..PCMs you get the picture. After adding the 6pt roll bar and subframes last year the fastest pass I could get out of it was 7.38@94mph (2900DA)

I finally decided to pull the trigger on the 24x during the winter. In the making I changed from a 8.8 to a 9" with heavier axles and went with a larger and heavier 28" Mickey Thompson drag radial...all stuff the should hurt my ETs. What I did add to help my times was an ls lid setup.

The car has not been tuned yet and is very safe with hardly any timing and AFR very rich into the 11.5-12.0 area. Anyway here is my time:

1.55 60ft
7.23 1/8th
93.2 mph
2700DA

Since the car hasn't been tuned my shift points were way off shifting at 5400 to 2nd and 5600 to third. Im confident that after tweaking the tune and getting it dialed in the car will run 6.90-7.00 in the same air. The good news, No upper rpm break up!!

Overall I a happy with my choice to do the conversion more options/easier to tune and a better ignition setup. Unfortunately track close here in the next couple weeks and I wont have time to dial it in to see it run the number. There is always next spring though.

thanks for the post!
I went to an LTCC conversion last fall and ended my high rpm missing.
I may go 24x just to help any tuner get it really dialed in, and my coils are already there.
LT1 computers are pre Windows, BETA crap.

I am using Hp tuners, im all about getting all the help I can get. Unfortunately I paid one of the tuning sponsors here for unlimited support tuning when I bought my hp tuners and hes blown me off.

Ellis has been awesome and helped me get it running but he has limited time. He has been very helpful on getting it going and dialing in the MAF.

So you're running an open loop MAF tune? Quite strange
