Motor build setup Debating a few options here.
Have a stock 93 lt1 mated to a 6 speed.
Really like the comp 503 cam
So stay stock bottom end heads etc what are the ideal supporting mods to the 503 cam engine internal wise I'm aware of bolt ons planning on 4.10 gears fresh clutch and all that
Or while its out anyways do I get 355 forge the bottom end with down the road plans of SC. If at this point do I need new heads? Stockers ported at the least? Can I still run the 503 cam? Just looking for some opinions and a little guidance here. Want to get it done relatively soon. Not a year long project so.. Just give me some direction guys!

Realisticly im looking at 2-3k. The block has 170k on it. So i need to get it hot tanked and such at the least. its going to be a DD. So if i can run the 503 with forged 355 and ported heads that would be awesome. im still learning as i go here picking up more and more knowledge everyday. so for all i know the 503 could be a completely wrong choice for a 355 with better flowing heads. thats why im on here!
Also if i ported the heads and bumped up to a 355 is there going to be a very large power gain?
