Odd vibration.

Odd vibration.
I recently had my car in the shop to get a new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, t/o bearing, and clutch fork. After I got it back from the shop I noticed a funny vibration. It occurs at both idle and while driving. Its kind of hard to explain but ill try my best. My car is custom tuned so it idles at 1100rpm. At idle, the rpms stay solid, but the oil pressure fluctuates a TINY bit. Almost like its just shaking ever so slightly. Here's where the vibration comes in. Every two seconds ill get a little shake that lasts approximately one second. I can feel it ever so slightly at idle. Now on the high its a little more noticeable. Its like this. Vibrate..Vibrate..Vibrate..Vibrate..Vibrate. Each dot representing one second. I know this is hard to understand but I cant figure it out. If you guys cant understand what I'm trying to say ill figure out another way to word it.

Normally that's exactly what I would do, however this particular shop seems to try and screw me over every time I go. The last time it was there the snapped of my oil pressure sensor and didn't want to tell me because the mechanic said that he didn't want to work on it anymore. They have no regard for fixing things they mess up. The first time I took it in, the forgot to put my shift boot back on. They're very unreliable.

No no no, the last time. As in the most recent time it was in the shop. When they were under the car changing the clutch, etc. they broke it off. Im not sure how, since its on top of the engine under the cowl. Thats why I dont want to take it back. And come to find out today, the ac system that they completely redid is no longer working.

I would raise F'N hell with them thats for sure. Threaten them with reporting them to the BBB and the Atterny Generals office...buisnesses hate that. That will certainly get their attention for sure!!!

Raising hell isn't going to do anything other than make for bitterness. If they have actually said they did not want to work on your car then that pretty much means they don't give a **** about it. From what you've posted, their track record in fixing your car is basically 0 for 2. For your own good, get it out of there and either delve into the problem yourself or take it somewhere else.

I think this is a perfect example of why it is important to do most mods by yourself. At this point, you basically cannot do anything more than tucking your tail and walking away with the knowledge that this shop is worthless. You should drop the trans yourself, and go over everything about that clutch install.

Bufmat has a point. Before I got my car, I never did any work on a car besides the water pump on my dads 2000 Silverado... Decided I didn't want to even try and deal with someone working on my car and pay out the *** for it. To this day I've done TONS of stuff to my car and it has never been to a shop (except my engine block of course..) in the 3 years I've owned it. Like Buf said, MOST mods. I really suggest picking up a wrench and getting greasy lol. It may seem like a daunting prospect to drop the tranny but this website and others like it will be your go to for ANY question and will help you IMMENSELY..

Normally I would do everything my self, thats how Ive done all the other mods to my car, however I just started college and a new job and the camaro is my DD. So the less down time the better because I really dont have time to work on it.
