He's in here telling the op how to build a stroker motor even though he's never built one himself.

Information is unimportant when will you learn that?

Far as not having built a stroker how is that really any different then putting together a quick stock shortblock setup? Make sure the bottomend is reliable and then top it with a good heads and valvetrain setup.

I didn't tell him how to build a stroker, I told him that most of his plans for building one sofar are wrong but I did not give him a parts list to do it right or anything.

Handing someone that far off a base a parts list wont help anything. He has to do a lot of reading and develop a lot of understanding before any parts list could be helpful.

Telling him to stop pursuing the build today and instead work on developing an understanding of what is needed is the most helpful anyone could be. "teach a man to fish......."

I think your post was helpful. He needed to be told the direction he was going was wrong. It was the way you told him that I took exception to. And as bad as I hate to admit it, if he really has a 99 you're probably right, he needs to shut the hood and do LOTS of research before doing anything else.
