? about lt1 intake and modding it to have a dizzy

ok i picked up a lt1 intake and i want to modd it to use on my gen 1 block
i got it off a l99 is there would i should have looked for or will this do??
its got w 2 on the back and a cast # of 6310

Before someone tells you the L99 intake is wrong they got the same intakes as LT1s so no trouble there. I think if you google there is actually a guy who converts them relatively cheaply instead of you having to figure it all out. Believe the TPI crowd was his main target audience.

thank you 96capricemgr ,for your info just wanted to make sure as tomy thinking that it was the same intake and ye i was going to do a tpi but then i got hooked on modded lt1 heads

its a fair amount of work to do it. when i did mine i used the oil pump drive shaft hole as a locator to punch the bottom of the intake. i used a carbide cutter to open the hole up it fit the dist. then i used my tig to build up the area around the hole for a flat surface. also had to make a bolt/hold down pad. you will more than likely need to cut off the egr pads and weld the holes shut.

well i kinda wish i could run a opti ye may sound crazy but it gives me the nicer tuneing of the lt1 ecu and then i don't have to cut a hole for a dizzy ,and maybe i could run the lt1 pully setup
