The part is between the distributor and goes in the engine hole.has teeth on both sides. about 1 1/2 inch
Im replacing the opti and somehow got stuck to it.The 1st time i changed it came off the old distributor so i reused it.

Cant find it anywhere.(online,shops,dealership)

And it may be called the distributor rotor??

 

It is not the rotor, sounds like you are describing one of two things. First is the splined shaft for the 92-94 non vented optis but those are supposed to be in the optis and not removable so I doubt its that.


The other piece it could be is the water pump drive shaft, that runs the gear for the cam driven water pump.

A picture would help a ton.

Yea i think its for the cam shaft.

I have two of them hanging around some where in my tool box. Every one I have ever done came out

 

It comes with a new opti, but you can't buy it separately as new. Salvage yard or individual seller will be your options.

 

the 1st opti i bought from summit racing ddnt have 1. and now the 1 from oriellys ddnt either.and for some reason nobodys sells the opti with it.
