Repinning opti
Repinning opti I have a 1992 Corvette that Im looking to install an 1995 LT1 in and was told that I'd have to repin the opti on the 1992 to run the 1995 engine. Any info would be appreciated.
You could reuse the existing timing cover and opti.
The vented setup is nicer so we can help you with that if you want, just want to make sure you know you don't "have to" use the 95 setup.
Far as the wiring it is just the extension harness that needs to be adressed like 4 wires pretty easy.

Don't forget the 92 is spline drive and the 95 is pin drive. here is a link that goes over what you need to know.

There is no difference in the wire placement in the connector of either type opti. It is the connector length on the opti end that is different. You just use an opti harness that is year appropriate for the type of opti you have.
