Default Wiring harness frustration!

This car has seen some rough times, and I am about to give up on the original harness.

The previous owner must have had a F**ING gremlin or something that like to cut up wires for no damn reason and splice things to other things and make a general mess of everything!

Not to mention the fact that I'm having issues figuring out how to get my 97 T56 to send the proper codes to my 93' computer( WHY THE F**K IS A 93' COMPUTER IN A 94' CAR ANYWAY!!!)

Do you guys think it would be worth the extra cash to just start over and either pick up a 94-95 harness that's in good manageable shape/new?

This rats nest has turned a straightforward swap/batch of modifications into a freakin' nightmare.

Suggestions, wise words, a pat on the back, or a damn flamethrower would all be welcome right now...

sorry for the rant...

New engine harness and correct year PCM will make your life SOO much better. You'll gain a flash programmable PCM as well.

Repairing a butchered harness takes TONS of time and materials. in 90% of most cases it is just better to buy a replacement used harness or a brand new one. However, when purchasing a used harness you could very well end up with gremlins again.

I can build you a brand new factory replacement harness. However, this will not be your most cost effective option. If you went the route of purchasing a new harness I would STRONGLY recommend going 24x.

That's what I am thinking, I just don't have the funds to spend like $700 on wiring right now.

I'm hoping I'll luck out and grab a decent one up from a part out, if not in perfect condition, at least in manageable condition.

I think I'm going to finish everything else up and wait for a good used one to pop up, even if it isn't perfect I can repair it with the original wiring diagrams. This one is just beyond repair.

Nope. Been doing harnesses and other things for quite a while, I just became a sponsor on here recently. I have been a sponsor over on LTXtech for a while now.

Good luck on finding a harness Tolley and for the record BP does great work. If you end up getting anything from him you won't be disappointed!

I have a 94 harness that I took out of my car, I removed the AIR and EGR. Some kids totaled my paint so the car is getting scrapped. I cleaned the harness and re wrapped it like the factory style. Nothing has been cut on it.
