LOL, that is probably most of the cost.

The price went up, didn't it? The listing is $72 + shipping, now.

This is what he should remove or re-word from the listing:

Brand New GM Chevy Opti-Spark LT1 Distributor

OEM#: 1104032

Brand New Complete Ignition Distributor with cap and Rotor

This is not a cheap China made with black cap

Here is the Tear down.

Very well packaged

The only GM part I found

Decent Looking rotor. I have never seen dielectric grease here

Or the painted surface here

Un-known Optic but 'Looks' good

Now to modify it

Remove the 'Spark diffusing walls'

Smooth Rotor counter weight edges and remove paint on leading edge

NO that is not rust below the rotor it is a reflection

Back Together and ready for testing!

Nice pics Ellis.
I got mine today but have not disassembled it yet.
Why do you remove the spark diffusing walls on the bottom side of the cap?
I allways do the loctite on the rotor screws but never thought of that.

Thanks for the lesson. It's always great to learn another thing to help the opti live longer.
