ignition upgrade?

ignition upgrade? whats up, ive been browsing this forum for a while, decided to ask a question.
any suggestions as far as an ignition set-up? i see msd and crane make boxes for the lt1, but id like to get some input from you guys. ive got some minor mods, stock bottom end.

ported heads
bbk shorties
borla catback

My crane hi 6 ignition box kills any coil i put in my car. The stock one seems to be the only one that works well with it. I would say that with your mods you do not realy need a new high out put coil unless your old one is bad.
