I have this harness for my 685.
I found the colors to connect the 685 to harness.
I have a few questions though.
The harness connects to the dual connector on the factory harness but only connects to one side of the coil? Does it matter what side you connect to on the coil?
Why does it only connect to one side of the coil?

There are two different coil types for the LT1, make sure you have the right harness. I ran into the same issue hooking up my 685 only to learn about the two coil types. There shouldn't be any un-used connectors.

There aren't any unused connectors. The factory dual connector connects to the 8876 then there is only one coming off the other side and connects to the coil.
96+ uses a single connector coil. Different number.
