My car has full bolt ons plus the hotcam. The previous owner had it dynoed with just boltons and cam and got over 350 rwhp from it. Since its had a ls1 lid conversion and some mild head work. He got some good numbers from it at the track. 12.01 @ 115 with boltons plus cam. With the lid and head work should easily be in 11s with good weather.

The hotcam has a very usuable power band on a stock bottom end.

How much later are you planning? You might aswell put in a cam that has usable power for your set up. Cams are fairly cheap so you can always get a different one later down the road when you do heads. What are your goals?

Full boltons and the driver mod should give you mid 12s, with good suspension and a solid rear a cam should get you high to mid 11s, and with a 100 shot low 11s. At that point a well set up suspension to stop wheel hop and a solid rear to take hard launches are critical to good times.
