Default tunercat comm port

When trying to connect my aldl cable to my usb the entire comm port list says invalid port. I have installed the usb drivers and aldl drivers. Tunercat is a pain in the ***. Ive used lt1 edit, hp tuners, and tunerpro rt with ease and no problems.

btw 94 trans am also have the $EE loaded

Plug the cable into your laptop, do not hook up to the car.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Device Manager under USB see if anything has a Yellow exclamation point.

If it does, right click on it, hit update drivers, then hit browse, guide it to your CD drive D:\ then let it scan the CD.

Then go in TunerCats and hit Options > Com Port Selection > Scroll through and find the port.

I think hes reffering to the cable software. I had a bunch of problems first getting mine started. It was a certain option i had to go trhough with the software. Also when in tunercats try the different com ports as mine wouldnt run on the first selected one.

Ive tried four different comm ports and still showing invalid on the list. I have downloaded the usb serial drivers still no luck. Still showing code 10 in the device manager no matter what I do.

I just tried it on my desktop and it works. Maybe it is the usb 3.0 ports that are not compatible on my gaming laptop?
