Rear End difference?

Rear End difference? Is there a way I can tell a difference between the stock lt1 rear end and a 02 ss Rear end? Is there part number on the rear end, that I can tell difference?
I am going to get the ecu tuned. When I bought the car a few years ago but the last owner said that it had an 02 ss rear end. I need to figure out the gears in it so it is tuned right.

there is no stamped part # on or around the casing that i am aware of so start turning the driveshaft and count the tire rotations
they had the same gear choices as the LT1 cars.
as far as an SS goes the A4 cars had 3.23 and the M6 cars had 3.42

Only thing you can really do to be 100% sure is pull the diff cover and count the teeth on the gears. Theres no other way to be sure unless you open it up. Should take less than an hour start to finish.
