Backfiring

I have a 95z25 6 sp. Stock except cam. I put 8mm Wires on it. And now im lucky if it stays running. At idle it seems to be running decent and if its cold it idles great. Could the 8mm wires cause it especially since the old 7mm wore out wires i never had a prob with?

Plug wires are on the wrong plugs.

i triple checked them they r right i noticed that a few wires r arcing to the distributor ventilation hose. and the coil is arcing but this is the 2nd new coil

i was just tole to put the old wires back on. since i never had a problem with them, but id like to know y 8mm arcs as much as it does and if i can fix the problem otherwise thats 60 bucks wasted
