Depends on the year model. My 96z was super easy just disconnect the water line that goes from the radiator to the TB and place it on the steam pipe line done deal I think I cut a little off the hose aswell. I believe 95-97 are the easiest to do whereas the previous years require a new 3/8 hose for under $7.00

Line that goes to the valve cover? Stop right there! Your gonna feed coolant into your crankcase through the valve cover?

What you do is disconnect both the coolant hoses going into the bottom plate of the TB and join them together with a hose union (barb) and clamps. Couldn't be simpler.

Video sent. OP not everyone was popped out the cooter with the knowledge of where/why the coolant passages are routed the way they are. I know I wasn't. The only way to learn is reading, twisting wrenches, and asking questions.

You look for a coolant line going into one side of the TB and another going out the other side. It was already noted that they are on the bottom. Picture even posted. You take the two hoses off the TB and join them together (hence the term 'TB bypass'). I can't understand the confusion.

No, because now you have nothing going through there? Not a must, but a lot of people do it.

No I dont agree Richard. I have all of the skills, tools and mechanical knowledge to properly do anything required on my vehicle. I got burned by not having the experience of spec'n my parts because I am not a racer and did not have significant high performance knowledge. But nice try.
