MAP sensor question...
What I want to know is; will the new 3 bar MAP sensor just be a direct plug and play for my factory 1 bar? Or will I need something else?
This was the one I was going to get> http://www.efisource.com/shop/gm-sty...sor-w-pigtail/
I would barely see 15#'s of boost on a very cold day on ideal conditions on my previous setup. Most of the time I would see about 13#'s of boost. I am now in the process of going with larger heads (AFR 227's over my previous AFR 180's), so I am guessing I'll see even less boost.
I am still leaning towards a 3 bar, even though it sounds like the 2 bar would probably be fine.
Any thoughts on this also?
I have used this one many times for customers. I use a 1/4 npt to 1/4" pipe and use a hose to connect it to the map sensor with clamps. Then wire in the the connector.
BUT you have to drill the intake for the npt fitting or use the egr tube block off plate and install it there. But still use a npt fitting.
