I just wanted to see what the max bids are so far. Im not really "in the market" for a set. My 92 vert has a set on it. My 97 isnt worthy of having some nice valve covers yet..lol

Are you bidding on them?

If you go back and look at '93 Trans Am road tests, you'll notice the press car had the composite covers. '92 LT1s in the C4s still had the L98 style aluminum covers. So I guess GM cheaped out and gave us F-car guys the stamped metal covers.

I was bidding on them. Probably not going to go higher then the $216 it's at right now though....

I'm with tomos, I just don't like the ugly (IMO) red "Chevrolet" on the covers + I have a firebird.

Nope, ended up getting a set from a member here and they should be in later this week. Can't wait to get them installed. I'll keep you posted once I have them on and ready to go.

After bidding ended on the ones posted in the link previously, a set of lt4 covers went up for sale on ebay with a "buy it now" option and I jumped on them.. Mine should be here within the week too.

They might be, looks like one of the pictures. I've been wanting a set since I've had the car lol.. Some stock corvette rail covers with the logo/emblem smoothed out would be really nice. I'd probably like to do that sometime in the future.

Thought I'd share this, as I found a couple more that went up on ebay recently:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Corvette-valve-covers-LT1-93-94-95-96-/111097043273?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item19dde65949&vxp=mtr

Got mine installed and love them. Might need to trim down the bolts a bit more to get them to seat better on my AFRs, we'll see.
