Default Msd 6al

Tried to do a search and got mixed reviews. My car has 160k and is 19 years old. A local guy has a MSD 6AL box, harness, and coils for $100.

Should I get it and what are the exact benefits? I know I won't get much horsepower but I know the better coils will burn better, etc?

You'll love the rev-limiter. Not for racing but for service/drop off. If u ever have to drop your car off u can install a 2,000rpm chip and not worry 'bout some jerk joy riding your car. That and the MSD has good reputation for accuracy while i sent back my Accel digital unit becuase it stated right in the instructions it had some retard effects at high rpm. But keep your MSD cool and low vibration mount. I found a nearly new MSD 6AL went dead on a friends vette when mounted on the firewall.

Hope this helps,
cardo
