Also, one side (can't remember which, I think the opposite of the side with the poor port job) had the merge spike welded clearly off center. It was so far off they were only able to weld it on 3 sides (because it overlapped the primaries on the 4th side).

The knuckle on the steering shaft gets caught up on the primary during slow turns. We took a bit off the knuckle vs relocating the entire column over. I can live with it.

They work. They leak, but they work. Cost $550 if I remember. I've had to replace one of their unique shaped header gaskets already with a standard fel pro one.

I'm aware that a lot of my complaints are typical of any header unit & install. I just didn't like the way customer service from THE one guy who ran the show died once I specifically started asking him why there were such differences between my left and right side headers. I only wish the LLP header install thread still existed. There was so much info and data in there, and personal experiences.
Are you sure you didnt see it in a sticky on LTXTech???

I was hoping to see another poll on this one, so I could vote "yes" correctly (lol).

You wont find it cause the admins decided there was too much marketing in it from LPP wright or wrong and yes that was one massive thread with tons of good information in it.

I know I posted lots of useful tips and tricks with photos to address some of the fitment issues but now I have forgotten most of it. I still am using the gen1 headers today and they have very much gone the distance but its just a damn shame that the old thread was murdered off.

I remember you in that thread. I watched it a lot and read it constantly. I remember it disappearing. It was a shame...

Ebay headers? All I see are pace setter LTs, and including the Y they are close to $500 (not coated). Seems about the same, and I am dealing directly with the company, not ebay

When they came out they were around $600 IIRC while they were $200-300 on ebay. LPP just rebranded them as their own.

So what you're saying is when he releases his new set of headers, there will be identical sets on ebay?

Probably. I highly doubt he is having his own jigs made up to sell 20 sets of headers.

That is exactly what he is doing! That is why the test sets are out there...if there are any issues, he is going to modify the jigs, then begin production. He makes groups of 100 at a time. That is why this poll was started, because he does not want to do a production run if they are not going to sell...these are much better quality than the Ebay headers...trust me.

Exactly, I almost bought the experimental set, but got other plans.

These are not like the ebay headers, I can vouch for that, he set me many pictures.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead to see if there are any updates on this company and their new headers. I'm looking to do long tubes for my LT1 soon and most people seem to have good things to say about this company and the price is right compared to kooks and some of the others. Any insight?

My buddy just got his in, welds look good and look nice but... When his came in the one primary was kinked, o2 sensor bung for driver side was facing up, passanger was facing towards the outside of the car. And its not like they flipped the collector wrong the o2 bungs werent even in the same spot on the collector.

O2 bungs are supposed to be like that. First time I got a set I posed the same question but they are made like that.
