upgrading my exhaust system. Pointers? I have an LT1 that I'm ready to build. It's currently in a '94 Firebird Formula with an A4. (will later be swapped into a '97 z28 M6.) When I bought her, she already had a K&N CAI, Edelbrock shorty headers, and Flowmaster exhaust. It sounds good with a low, deep, rumble but just doesn't quite have that.. evilness sound to it. I wanna make her sound like something you wouldn't wanna **** with unless you've had some major mods. I've also noticed that she's kinda quiet. Any ideas?

long tube headers, cat delete (assuming no emissions), cutout. this will make it louder, and the cutout will keep the chokemaster from choking your car when you wanna play

I agree with this except I would go no muffler as well.
Longtubes+cam+no cat+no muffler(just straight back)= pure evil

i personally hate it when the mufflers get cut, it's just soooo loud and annoying. if you wanna be loud then just open the cutout, no need to go to the work to remove the muffler
Long tubes, ORY, and a Magnaflow here. It's just enough to **** off the neighbors and attract a ton of unwanted attention after dark. However, I love the way it sounds.
If I had some real cash to spend then I'd go with the Borla catback and put an electric cutout in the back so I could tone it down when needed.

You can't beat Magnaflow for price on new stainless steel exhaust and sounds great too; not too loud, not too quiet unless crusing. A cam will make it sounds way nastier; even with stock manifolds or shorties.

my cammed lt1 with longtubes ory and slp loudmouth 1 is more then enough to be loud and evil. I've set car alarms off numerous times just starting it. Had it parked in my mother in laws garage onece started it and had the shovels fall off the wall. Needless to say its loud.
