Keep your foot out of the gas until you get it tuned.

Like SS RRR said...keep your foot out of the gas until it is tuned! Hell, if it were MY car, I wouldnt even DRIVE it until it was tuned, but that is me. Just because it starts and idles does NOT mean it is running right. You have no idea if you are running super lean now or if you are pig rich, or if you are ok. Rich isnt TOO much of a problem depending on how bad it is....but lean could KILL your motor and it can do it in a hurry.

Also, I am curious, but you said you didnt do anything with the valves...I know you may have done it right, but I want to make sure...so please, answer me this...when you swapped the rockers out, how did you set the lash on the valves?

Finally, last question...I see NOTHING in here about upgraded Valve Springs....are you running stock springs with that cc306 cam??? Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the stock camshaft was a lift around .450 on 1.5 Rockers or .480 on 1.6's, and if I am right, the max lift of stock valve springs are no higher than .490, IF that high...the CC306 cam's lobe lift is .544/.576 with 1.6 RR's...So if you are using stock springs and IF I am right (which I am not 100% sure I am), then you are maxing out your springs and possibly causing A LOT of damage. If I am wrong, then I apologize and I need to do a little more research, but I am pretty sure stock springs will not work with a CC306. Did you upgrade, or are you still running stock springs?
