Default Choosing 355 Crank

I was going to run a stock crank but Im looking for about 700hp and I really don't want the crank to be the weak point Build is:

Turbo 355
Je pistons
Callies rods
All Apr Hardware.

Just looking for the best crank to hold it all together. I was thinking a SCAT crank. Ive heard some stories about the eagle cranks. Just wanted to see what everyone else is running and your suggestions.

Stock crank will be fine. If your going aftermarket might as well go 3.75, 3.8 or 3.875 and add some cubes as a 3.48 or 3.5 costs the exact same. Scat or eagle forged is fine, or Howard's or Ohio, pick your poison.

Agree with above that you might as well go with a stroker crank, unless you've already bought pistons.

I'm running a scat forged crank with no problems. I've also ran eagle forged cranks in other SBC's with no problems. Been thinking about trying a Howards crank next...

Yep. If you're keeping the stock stroke you can't do a whole lot better than the stock crank, it's very strong. Never heard of one breaking and have seen multiple 600+rwhp blower cars with stock cranks.
If you go aftermarket go 4340 and one of the brands mentioned above.
