Default lt1 headers

After workin 12 hrs today i decided it would be a good night to start my header swap. After pulling the front four bolts on the driverside i decided to stop and have a beer. After that wonderful ice cold busch bottle i twisted the back 2 off. Maybe i shoulda waited till i got the out to have a beer. Lol cheers to another wonderful project

Got bolts out manifolds off and headers on that a piece of cake. However dynatech headers aref*#;"!^/* junk. There is no way to put 3 of the plugs in with the headers tight and the oil filter wont clear by a half inch. Even the little short filter. So im gonna try it one more time in the morning and if it dont cooperate im gonna sawzall the primaries off at the flanges and drop em back out. Take the flanges off and order a set of cheap headers that fit.

I think pacesetters are supposed to fit pretty good. I have Hooker Super Comps, but cheap they ain't. You could also look into the ebay stainless long tubes. Heard good things about those, but haven't tried them myself.

I gave a buddy $75 for these there stainless big primary adjustible headers and wasnt cheap when he bought them.he said when he put em on and took em off the motor was on a stand. Just bad luck on my part. Im just pissed lol maybe ill be calmed down tomarrow and everything will work better. BUT I DOUBT IT! Damn stuff anyway

When you get frustrated its always best to get some rest and clear your mind then tackle it another day with fresh ideas

+1 to dynatech headers being GARBAGE! They are a pita to work with you need to raise the car extremely high to remove/install them an there is absolutely no y pipe made for them.

I have uncoated pacesetters long tubes, I have no issues with plug access or fitment, I use a normal spark plug socket to break em loose then remove by hand, all 8 from the top.

Hmm. I have low (to me) pressure at hot idle. I don't like to see oil psi low period. How hard was it to remove said "cooler"?

Ten minute job. Cut the 2,5/8 hoses at the steel crimps connect them with a 5/8 hose connector from parts store. Take 1 1/16 socket and remove nut on cooler above where oil filter screws on. Drop cooler. Cut nipples off of filter adapter bolts and install filter.( You will lose a lil coolant when you cut the lines to splice them but its super simple.that is on a 94. The 95-97 is a lil diff setup tho. If you need a walk thru pm me and i can walk you thru it over the phone if it helps
