Can't get LT1 separated from T56
Hey guys,
In the middle of swapping an LM7/4l80E into a 95 LT1/T56.
I made a mistake of attempting to separate the engine from transmission without removing the clutch fork (found out how that worked after...)
Anyways, the engine and transmission are about an inch apart now and I can't get the clutch fork to release for the life of me. I also tried bolting the engine back up to the transmission, thinking it might make the fork removal easier, but I can't get them to come together.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to go from here? I've searched for the forums for hours but all I can find is that I need to pull the fork. It's not moving!!

by trying to pull the T56 away without first sliding the clutch fork off the TO bearing is your problem
you may have tweaked the TO bearing but line up the tranny and wiggle it if you have to to stab it back to the motor, then slide, pull the fork off the TO bearing. It will not come completely out but it will come off the tO bearing and be lose. Then slide tranny off
usually you drop tranny then bell housing then clutch & FW. If you are trying to pull tranny with bell housing on it you still need to first pull fork away from TO bearing. The fork stays on the tranny
