Mine works fine. I'm pretty sure the other two that I pulled out of my car were working fine when I returned them under the assumption I had an ignition problem when I truly have an ECM problem. The lifetime warranty is the only reason I got one.

Bought one at Advance Auto. 2700 miles on it and when the motor warmed up to normal temp, it would die. If I let it cold down, it would restart and die over and over. The car threw a high resolution signal code. I didn't autopsy it but got my cash back and bought a Delphi. Smooth sailing so far.

I run a cardone. Have had two failures, both my fault though, I tightened the rotor too tight and cracked it then it came apart.

The second one I left a vent line laying in frame rail or k member, and it worked fine for like 10K then it rained really bad and sucked up a ton of water and killed it.

The replacement has been on for like 30K and has been fine. I rev it to 6800 at least once a day.

just get a stock one.

piece of mind for the extra $100 IMO its the only way to go

id rather go with chandler for the $70 or whatever ridiculous price it is over the autozone unit

cardone optis are garbage. they are only worth proving to a prospective buyer that the car even fires up.

I stand by the delphi units. I purchased the delphi unit w/o cap and rotor and have used the same accel cap and rotor for a looong time.
I doubt anyone here could step in and say they have had the signal or misfire issues with the delphi that cheapo and msd units have.
There are the accel units that no one seems to use that are inexpensive but im pretty sure they dont make a "vin p" version for your engine.
