can someone tell me what this is. My car seems to be missing it. My car is the 2nd photo

It is a connector with bleeder valve on it.
#4 in diagram below.

It does help to get the air out of the cooling system when you fill it up, but if you are having no issues with such, I would not worry too much about it.
