Angry 1996 ss ignition problems... HELP

I just replaced the Opti, ICM and coil on my SS. Car has 80k miles. I replaced it all because car would break up and miss if rev'd above 3k. When I pulled the old opti off it was rattling. replaced everything and put it back together now it will barely start and won't run but just a split second. I thought the new opti might be bad so I swapped it out for a new one. It is an autozone unit but it is new, not reman'd. I have hit a dead end. I have done several of these before, and have never had a single problem. But this one is killing me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check and re-check that you put the plug wires on in the correct order. It is VERY easy to get them confused in such a tight space. Sounds like a wiring/connection issue to me.

This might help to check your wiring.

Got a scanner on it this morning. Throwing a P1371 code for bad ignition module. I guess I got one bad straight off the shelf. Gonna swap them out and try it again. Hope like hell it fixes it...lol
