LT1 won't start

LT1 won't start So my emgine cut out awhile ago on the interstate. Just shut off out of nowhere. It was during summer in Florida, no rain, nice hot dry day.
Well I changed the plugs, ICM, and gave the battery a fresh charge. Started up and ran great for about 10 minutes. Then it just suddenly sputtered amd revved eratically and cut out. Went out amd bought a brand new battery since my other one was pretty worn out. Did the same exact thing right on start up. Last time I started it up, it made a loud pop. Pretty sure it was just backfire. Checked the oil amd no milkiness, so I don't think it's a head gasket.
Anyone have any solutions?!?!
