opti and water pump question
opti and water pump question Ok so I have a 95 z with 75k . full bolt ons and tune..... its been running rough with a random miss. so Ive made a few postes asking about this and replaced the plugs wires and coil just to see if they could be causing the problems and nothing changed. SO I decided to take the opti off. The water pump came off and I noticed that the seal around the shaft was broke and I could see the bearings , this car has never leaked or over heated to this point so do I need a new water pump or can I get a rebuild kit what do you do????
OK as for the opti no check engine light ever or anything other then loss of power and random miss. took it apart and the rotor and cap are all burnt looking and corroded , so would you replace the cap and rotor or whole thing ?
I kinda feel I opened up a few things here or saved some time by finding some problems before they showed thereself.

If you really inspect everything else for the opti, like the harness, connectors, disk, everything and it looks fine id just do a cap and rotor and use loctite on everything.
