My buddys bolt on 00 gt with a 125 shot ran 11.6 in the quarter. Don't let arrogance make you blind.

I never won when I was involved in a free race. Street racing is 90% hustle. Put money on it and it may have been a different story. This dude may race you for no money and let you win. That way you get confident, put money on it then you may lose your money. You want to play games then set talk him into running you for free, sand bag, see if he obviously sand bags, then work out a deal with the argument his car is far faster. Have him set you out two and the kick and take his money.
Once money becomes involved racing has very little to do with how much power your **** makes.

Yeah mustangs love the bottle. And no results yet.its been raining this weekend a lot. I have a cam ready to go in. Maybe I should do a cam swap and them race him. And yeah. Everyone around knows I'm on spray. I feel like I'm trapping a good enough mph to make almost 400 at the wheels. The cam is a sleeper cam with no lope. So I should just throw it in.

I did claim a c6 zo6 as victim though. He got me about two car lengths to 70 then I came around him up top. Second zo6 I beat. Beat one at the track too. He ran a 12.0 at 110 and I ran him down up top when I clocked 115. I only ran 12.40 but I killed him on the tree.

You can't just throw a cam in without a tune, or I guess I should say you shouldn't. You also said you beat HIS buddy's heads/cam lt1, so his buddy would obviously tell him by how much, and if he still thinks he can beat you he might be able to, unless you dogged his buddy.

Nah i can say i won that one all out, the guy was pissed off after. said he spun through second, which he did. Not many guys around here are smart enough to sandbag, and to be honest most don't have enough money to race with so they mostly race for bragging rights. He didn't say anything about wanting a rematch, he even went far enough to say i had a 1 foot blue flame coming out of each of my exhaust pipes claiming i was spraying, even though there wasn't a bottle in the car haha, he was pretty embarrassed you could tell. Although, it would be cool to have those blue flames coming out like those promod guys, but id have to throw another 400 shot in there to get that haha, or run on like 2 degrees of timing.

I have the software to tune it, id just get a pcmforless tune, then tweak it myself with a wideband. i sandbagged on his buddy, i was flipping the nitrous on and off once i pulled him about a car length, i would flip it off, let him start to pull a bit then hit the spray when he got about my door, he was about my door when it was all said and done, but i pulled him a length from 30 to 60 so i just flipped off the spray and seen how he pulled me back, when he got back to my door i was flicking it on and off.

Lol if you beat a C6 z06, then you have more mods than you claim. A stock C6 z06 pushes 505 hp. Unless you meant a C5 Z06 which is more believable.

It was an 06 model? Whichever one that is. The guy said it had a 427 in it. And the other was black. Idk what model but they looked the exact same. Might have been the base model with zo6 badging.

As capable as the C6 Z06 is, I have seen this happen a few times. Two years ago at a local track, a yellow C6Z and C5Z rolled up with country club looking guys driving. They tried to drive right into the staging lanes without getting signed in or getting a windshield number, lol.

We all had a good laugh when they took the cars down the track.

The C5Z ran a 14.8 and the C6Z ran a 14.6. I dont' remember the traps.

Just goes to show that without the proper driver, it doesn't matter how COOL your car is.

If that was me I'd donate my car to a better driver and get a Honda.

I just wish I had been able to line up with one of them. I specifically remember that day because we were all comparing our cars at the time to those drivers. The DA was about 3000+ and my cam (CC306) and partial bolt on A4 was running 2.5 seconds faster than those Z's!

If it is a street race, take a video and post it in the Street Racing & Kills section of this forum.

Im also on street tires, he was on drag radials.
