Those hp calculations from the Wallace calculator are pretty far off.

Here's the result from the one I've used for years. It has always correlated very well with my trap speeds/weight and dyno pulls with locked or efficient converters:
Approximate Horsepower Results
"Your car weighs 2980 pounds and can complete the 1/4 mile at 135 MPH. That means that you've got about 594.8 HP at the flywheel, and about 487.7 HP at the wheels."
You can see it assumes an efficient auto trans driveline, 18% loss. His looser converter will of course dyno less.

Love showing guys in other sections of this forum well running NA LT1's and hear crickets afterwards because they are so used to seeing your average H/C LT1 put together crappy.
