Default Some problems when swapping to LS1 style console

Well I picked up a nice ebony (5speed) console out of a camaro if that makes a difference. Ive taken my console in and out before doing a shifter and also when putting in one of those tuner boxes for an AUX jack, so I know the console needs a bit of massaging to fit not to mention checking if stuff is caught while trying to put the thing in the correct position. So I caught a few problems.

1. alot of air between the carpet and console in some areas, not a huge deal but maybe I can fix that somehow.
2. The single bolt that goes into basically the dead middle of the console, above the cupholder/ashtray/ebrake is now too short to thread in, I checked to see if anything was caught like seatbelts, wiring from my AUX cable stuff, but nothing.
3. I noticed the newer console had two cig lighters, no big deal, if I can get 1 to work I can figure out how to get two to work later, well of course both of them are a different style cig lighter and now the earlier style snap on plug doesn't work. Also tried to take the newer style outlet out and put in the older style but the holes are too big. I'm guessing I need to take the newer connectors and cut and connect them on to my old harness.

So yeah a few little problems but atleast I can actually sip a drink and not have to chug it before I pull away.
