Headlight issues need help

Headlight issues need help Hi I have a 93 firebird base model and when I turned my headlights on they worked for a split second then quit. Now I checked the fuses and they were fine all other exterior lights are working. My battery gauge jumped to red when it happened and is still in the red idk if that has something to do with it or not some one please help daily driver and I need it
