Turns out I still have the threads....I was told to take a size smaller threaded rod and put in there and see if you can feel the threads and they are there...thank God.... but they just need to be cleaned.. and the tap I have is too short, any ideas on a long thread chaser to clean out those thread???

I need the standard 7/16-20 just long and I cant find it anywhere

I can't believe the few extension taps in that size are over fifty bucks. Search for "OSG 17655901".

Can anybody else here in the LT1 world step in and help?
