94 lt1 with msd opti vent question?

I have a 94 lt1 and the previous owner installed the msd opti. he routed the vacuum line the runs from the bottom of the opti to the intake manifold, but that hose cracked to im going to replace it this week. also I noticed that he did not run the fresh air vent hose (the one that is supposed to go to the inlet). do I have to run that fresh air hose or can I cap it on the msd unit?

Capping the fresh air vent might cause a vacuum build up in the opti which can suck the cap in. You need that open and run to the right place. MSD instructions show where it all goes.

That's fine if you want to draw dirty air into your opti. Not the optimal setup.

where can I find the little piece that hooks into the hose and then into the inlet? done have it at all. any reviews on the chandler opti?

Chandler opti = fail. Ac delco or MSD but you already have the msd so run the line from the cap to the intake track then rn the one from the opti to the intake manifold with the check valve. Call it done
