Default ABS INOP/ low trac?

Hey guys I was wondering is there any type trouble shooting steps to determine a abs inop or low trac problem? I own a 93 formula for the past few months every morning when I back out of my driveway the low traction light comes on briefly then goes off but recently the abs inop will come randomly but today the low traction light along with the abs inop light came on and when I applied the brake there was the sound of a rotating click coming from the front left corner of the car? I also own a diagnostic code scanner that is suppose to test engine and abs codes but nothing happens when connected? so I was wondering has anyone else had this problem? or know any of the trouble shooting steps to figure this problem out? thx henry

My car has done something similar with the ABS INOP light come on VERY sporadically for no reason at all it seems If I shut it off and restart it will go away and not happen again for months I've heard the ABS connectors can get corroded, maybe try unhooking them and cleaning them, also if it happens a lot it could be simply be a bad ABS relay, they cost a few dollars at any parts store....mine doesn't do it enough for me to really care though.

My '93 used to do this, I solved it by getting rid of that garbage ABS.

FWIW, I've had the "low trac" light come on, and my car doesn't have the traction control option....

I know when I had that crap still on my car it was one of my rear wheel speed sensors. They where both full of crap.

You don't have to have traction control for the light to come on. All it means is there was a speed difference detected between the sensors.

Would that be the front and rear sensors, or the front left and front right sensors?

IDK for sure, but am going to assume between any sensors.

It only takes one front to slip to set it off on my 94. Since my rear was 3 channel I don't know about that.

Interesting, as I've owned the car for almost 19 years, and I'm still learning about it....
