ported intake gains?
I've tried researching this to little avail. seems nobody has actually dyno'd it.
I sold my 94 TA\GT to a friend. it has an LE1 top end with mild cam. I put 1\3\4 headers on it (what a difference compared to stock manifolds)
anyway, he wants to make it "proper", with my help. has anyone actually dyno'd a ported stocker intake? particularily gains in the 6000-7000 rpm range?
he also found an OEM ram air hood and box for it... darn it all to heck ram air lt1's look nice. just as nice as ls1's, just different. I don't know why anyone bought Camaro's back then.

The consensus is about 10-12 hp above 6k rpm. With LE1 heads and a mild cam there is very little if any to be gained. Just not enough rpm to really make use of it. It would probably be better to invest elsewhere in the car. Gears, suspension, tires...if you can't hook what good is a bunch of power? All that means is you'll go through tires faster.
